White 'Senzafine' Sofa by Eleonore Peduzzi Riva for Zanotta, Italy, c.1960
Scarce 'Senzafine' sofa designed by Milanese artist/designer Eleonore Peduzzi Riva for Zanotta in the 1960s. Upholstered in white cotton, the cushions rest on a skeletal like fibreglass frame supported by chromed tubular steel legs. The result is an exquisitely modern and extremely comfortable piece.
Quality over a quantity - you will only find a handful of Eleonore's designs around today. The most notable of these is the iconic De Sede DS600 sofa that she designed alongside Ueli Berger, Klaus Vogt and Heinz Ulrich. Whilst very different in form, the Senzafine is every bit as good and much harder to find in this striking colorway.
